| Why do you have Statesman and
Freedom Phalanx images on your website if you’re so against
them? I’ll admit I’m no fan of them, but there are an integral part of this website. Statesman may not like me using his image without his permission, but that’s probably one of the least things he has to worry about concerning me. Why don’t you have maps to all of the city? This site is designed for tourists and citizens, not heroes. Since only heroes are allowed to access these zones, there is no point in having maps for them. As funding is steered away from Statesman’s pork projects and back towards reconstruction, I’ll add them. Baumton is planned to begin reconstruction sometime in 2006. When are you going to do a story about the Freakshow? - Submitted by Clamor I like to add a little to the site every month. The Freakshow will be coming in a while, but I'm still gathering information. Just to give you a peek, from what I can tell from my information, the Freakshow are actually quadriplegics that had to resort to robotic prosthetics to remain mobile. It's a shame. Statesman will even pick on the handicapped! Have you considered taking a more "active" approach in the fight against Statesman? Do you think the moon landing really happened or was that just a ploy by Statesman? Of course the moon landing happened. What? Do you think I'm crazy!? But, I should also point out that the moon no longer exists. The moon we see above our city is actually fake. Have you ever noticed how you can see right through it? Statesman had that put up (maybe by Numina) to avoid mass panic. I'm not sure how it got destroyed, but my best guess is Positron used it as a restroom. The OOC FAQ:
Out of character answers regarding the site by Cantatus: Why did you choose to target Statesman so heavily while Mayor Gonzales is mentioned infrequently? One of the things I tried to do was obey the lore in the game as much as possible, only adding tweaks where there was room. Fletcher stretches the truth and lies, but the things he says mostly exist within the world. He’s just offering a different perspective on things. Sure, we know Sister Psyche shared a mind with Aurora Borealis for a while, but Fletcher believes Aurora was an unwilling participant. As far as Gonzales goes, he was only mentioned in the Paragon Times pages a few times. I didn’t want to draw too heavily from him as there is little lore surrounding him. Besides, Statesman is so much more fun to poke fun at! When was this site made? It was started after the Fan Site Contest was announced, in November and December of 2005. Any mentions of the site existing previous to this time is done for the story. Why are there inconsistencies? Some are intentional. I wanted to present what Fletcher says as sort of irrational, so not everything on the site meshes with what he tries to say. For example, in some places he makes it sound like all heroes are bad, while others he just thinks Statesman is. Fletcher just says what suits his needs at the time. Are there some unintentional inconsistencies? I’m sure, human error and all! Is this an attempt to get back at Statesman for _________? One of the difficulties I had with creating the story for this site was that writing such libelous things about Statesman (the character) could look like I’m saying it against Statesman (Jack Emmert.) Having him use Statesman for both his alias and character made wording I used difficult at times. The “Capes for Cash” page started out a lot harsher, but when I was reading back over it, it just looked like I was trying to get people to quit the game because of Jack Emmert. I had to tone it some to try to make it not appear like I was saying “Doooooooom!” Is this site a parody of real world events? Perhaps this goes back to the unintentional things like I said above. When coming up for some of the content on the site, I saw some of it mirroring the real world’s political climate. It wasn’t really what I was going for, but I wasn’t as adamant about editing the parallels out. The only thing I tried to parody was conspiracy theorists. |
